NIHR Academy Conference 2024

I have spoken before about NIHR, who are the people who pay for this research. Once a year they host a meeting where all the researchers they give money to can come together to meet each other, share ideas and learn new things. This year the meeting was in November 2024, and held at The Queens Hotel right here in Leeds city centre.

There was a great session about how to use playful ways (such a card games, board games, etc.) to help people come together to talk about their experiences, research, and to create ideas to make things better. We will definitely be using some of these in our future work.

It’s also a chance for us to talk about our research. Here I am presenting our literature review to an audience. It’s so important that we can explain our research because we need people to understand our message. This will ultimately help us to get things changed.

So overall it was a great event. We were lucky it is in Leeds so not far for us to travel! We got some great ideas that we will be using in our research.
