Parent Advisory Group – January 2024

On Saturday the 27th of January we held our first meeting of our parent/public advisory group (PAG).

Thank you to everyone who supported the event. We had 8 parents, 5 children/young persons, 2 play workers and 2 facilitators come along.

The main outcomes of this meeting were:

• to have fun
• to show that holding a meeting at the City Museum can work
• to learn about how people want to be involved
• to learn about what the MINIMEDS project should be

What we will do as part of the project going forward:

• setup a WhatsApp Group to help send updates and communicate between the group
• arrange the next meeting for the June/July
• try and match members to things they want to be involved with
• try and match members to training they might be interested in
• provide better refreshments for anyone with allergies
• continue with Amazon Vouchers for payment for meetings
• provide ‘quiet times’ for parts of the meeting to help thinking and reflection
• Stephen needs more training to help manage discussions between the whole group
